Truth in Health is not just growing—it’s gaining momentum across Oklahoma.

At our latest monthly meeting, we brought together educators, practitioners, and advocates committed to doing health differently—through education, collaboration, and action.

From nonprofit partnerships and legislative advocacy to CEU education and environmental health awareness, this meeting reflected exactly what Truth in Health stands for:

Education. Advocacy. Community.

Why Truth in Health Exists

Health today is fragmented.

  • Patients don’t know where to go
  • Information is overwhelming or misleading
  • Practitioners often feel siloed or unsupported

Truth in Health was created to bridge those gaps by bringing together trusted educators, advocates, and practitioners into one unified ecosystem.

This is about clarity—not confusion. Collaboration—not competition.

Opposing HB 3660

We also discussed concerns around HB 3660, a bill with environmental implications that raised concerns within our community.

Advocacy is a core part of what we do—because protecting health requires both education and action.

Featured Presentation: Polyester & Environmental Health

One of the most impactful moments of the meeting came from founding member Connie Street.

Her presentation focused on environmental exposure—specifically polyester—and its potential impact on the body.

“You might as well be wearing a trash bag.”

This powerful statement sparked immediate awareness around everyday exposure and the importance of understanding what we put on and around our bodies.
